Appointment to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (3) of section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908, as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed The Honourable Robert Stanley Chambers of Auckland to be a member of the Rules Committee for the special purpose of completing projects current at the termination of his previous term, and generally advising the committee on matters of procedure, to hold office during the pleasure of the Chief Justice but in any event for a term no longer than 3 years.
