Termination of Dumping Investigation: Lead Acid Batteries From the People's Republic of China Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (hereinafter referred to as ``the Act''), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of lead acid batteries from The People's Republic of China (the ``subject goods'' as described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of 25 February 1999 (New Zealand Gazette, 4 March 1999, (page 707)), imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand. I have terminated the investigation because I am satisfied under section 11 (1) (a) of the Act that, as a result of the investigations carried out, there is insufficient evidence of dumping to justify proceeding with the investigation. Dated at Wellington this 22nd day of July 1999. Hon. MAX BRADFORD, Minister for Enterprise and Commerce. A copy of the non-confidential version of the Final Report which contains details of the investigation and the conclusions reached, is available from the Trade Remedies Group, Ministry of Commerce, P.O. Box 1473, Wellington.
