Appointment of Acting Judge of the High Court Pursuant to section 11a of the Judicature Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint The Honourable Sir Richard Ian Barker to be an acting Judge of the High Court of New Zealand, to take effect on 8 September 1999, a certificate having been signed by the Chief Justice and 3 other permanent Judges of the High Court that, in their opinion, it is necessary for the due conduct of the business of the High Court that an acting Judge be appointed.
