Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of summaries of exemptions as set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation. Schedule 99/EXE/51 CAR 137. Appendix D.6.5 On 15 October 1999. To Helicopter Services (BOP) Limited. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 137.253 (2) (i) that each holder of an agricultural aircraft operator certificate shall ensure that a flight does not commence unless in accordance with Appendix D.6.5 a caution placard is displayed in the cockpit, only in respect to Aerospatiale AS 350B aircraft, registration ZK-HGI. 99/EXE/71 CAR 171.101 (4) On 14 October 1999. To Airways Corporation of NZ Technology & Support Group. From the requirement of Civil Aviation Rule 171.101 (4) that they continue to comply with the requirements of Subpart B prescribed for certification under Part 171, only with respect to (1) the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 171.53 (a) (2) (iii) to establish procedures to ensure that the monitoring system for each NDB facility shall switch the equipment off upon detection of a fault; and (2) the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 171.53 (a) (4) to establish procedures to ensure that each radio navigation aid listed in its exposition is provided with a monitoring system that will remove an NDB from operational service upon detection of any of the following: (i) navigation information outside the prescribed tolerance for the facility; (ii) failure of the identification signal; (iii) failure of the monitoring system; This exemption shall remain valid until the NDB equipment at any of the above-mentioned locations is replaced or the exemption is withdrawn in writing by the director, whichever occurs first. 99/EXE/78 CAR 121.567 To Mount Cook Airline Limited. On 15 October 1999. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 121.567 that as the holder of an air operator certificate they shall ensure, after each crew member completes a transition segment of its training programme the crew member undergoes consolidation by acquiring certain experience and flight-time, only in respect of crew members who undergo transition training from the ATR 72-212 aeroplane to the ATR 72-212A aeroplane by Mount Cook Airline Limited. Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos is also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL), dated 21 October 1999 which is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz.
