Notice of Intention to Promote Private Bill Notice is hereby given that The Museum of Transport and Technology of New Zealand Trust Board (called ``the promoter''), intends to promote for consideration by the House of Representatives a Private Bill under the short title of the ``Museum of Transport and Technology Act 1998''. The objects of the Bill are to: (a) Establish a Museum of Transport and Technology Board to govern the museum, with 5 appointees of Auckland territorial local authorities and 5 appointees of the Museum of Transport and Technology Society. (b) Establish clear and appropriate statutory objectives and duties, functions and powers of the board. (c) Provide for an annual plan and a statutory process to prepare this, in consultation with Auckland local authorities, the MOTAT Society, and the public. (d) Provide for a secure and fair basis for territorial local authorities in the Auckland region to contribute to the funding and governance of the Museum of Transport and Technology. Communications to the promoter about the Bill may be sent to: Museum of Transport and Technology, P.O. Box 44-114, Point Chevalier, Auckland. A copy of the Bill may be inspected, during normal office hours on any working day, at the offices of the following: (1) The Auckland District Court, corner of Kingston and Albert Streets, Auckland. (2) The Museum of Transport and Technology, Great North Road, Western Springs, Auckland.
