Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence Further to a notice in the New Zealand Gazette of 21 August 1997, and pursuant to section 87j (6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 27 August 1996, and a sub-delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that the Minister of Transport has varied the scheduled international air service licence held by Air New Zealand to: (i) provide for services to Singapore via Australia; (ii) in respect of Malaysia, substitute Singapore for Sydney as the intermediate point, and increase the capacity available to the airline from up tothe equivalent of one B747 service per week, to up to the equivalent of two B747 services per week; and (iii) in respect of Thailand, increase the capacity available to the airline from up to the equivalent of four B767 services per week, to up to the equivalent of six B767 services per week. The scheduled international air service licence has also been varied through the deletion of condition 8 ``Costs associated with the use of provincial airports''.
