The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1998 (No. F93) Pursuant to section 28zm (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983 and delegation made pursuant to sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Policy Manager, Ministry of Fisheries hereby makes the following notice: N o t i c e 1. Title and commencement (1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1998. (2) This notice shall come into effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. 2. Interpretation In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the Quota Management Area SCA7 Southern Scallop Fishery described in Part III of the First Schedule to the Fisheries Act 1996. 3. Southern Scallop Season The Southern Scallop season for the 1998/99 fishing year is the period from 13 August 1998 to 17 December 1998 (both dates inclusive).
