Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session Order in Respect of a Registered Comprehensive Nurse After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (b), 42 (2) (ba), 42 (3) and 48a of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (``the council''), in a decision dated 23 October 1997, ordered that the comprehensive nurse be suspended from practice from a period of 6 months and thereafter, be monitored by the Health and Disability Committee until satisfied that he is able to practise satisfactorily as a comprehensive nurse. The council also ordered that he pay $3,000.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee, and inquiry by the council and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand in this manner.
