Approval of Specific Central Tyre Inflation System Pursuant to regulation 6 (3) (c) of the Passenger Service Vehicle Construction Regulations 1978, pursuant to regulation 2 (4) (c) (ii) of the Goods Service Vehicle (Constructional) Regulations 1936, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Policy Engineer, hereby approve the central tyre inflation systems specified in Schedule 1 for vehicles fitted with tyres, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2. Schedule 1 Make of the System: COLVEN Models: NM 143 NM 145 Schedule 2 1. Model NM 143 may only be fitted to vehicles, which are equipped with air brake systems, the maximum safe operating pressure of which exceeds the required tyre pressure of the vehicles. 2. In case of model NM 143 the intake sensor must be adjusted to a pressure which is higher than the minimum safe operating pressure of the air brake system. 3. The central tyre inflation system must be fitted, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 4. This approval may be revoked at any time.
