The Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice 1998 Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Robert Albert Gibson, Acting Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice 1998. (2) Those localities and roads shown within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT9825/1, entitled ``Western Bay of Plenty District Roading Speed Restrictions at Waihi Beach'' held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared: (a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or (b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice. (3) Those parts of the Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice No. 1, 1991 relating to roads at Athenree, Bowentown and Waihi Beach and Island View are revoked.
