Notice of Appointment of Liquidator and Notice to Creditors to Prove Debts or Claims In the matter of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 and the Companies Act 1993, and in the matter of The Basketball Referees' Association of New Zealand Inc. (in liquidation): Notice is hereby given that in accordance with section 24 of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908, the above-named society on the 21st day of March 1998, passed a special resolution appointing Gerrard Justin Toebes, solicitor of Wellington, as liquidator of the society. The liquidation commenced on the 21st day of March 1998. Notice is hereby given that the liquidator of The Basketball Referees' Association of New Zealand Inc. (in liquidation), fixes the 30th day of April 1998, as the day on or before which the creditors of the society are to make their claims, and to establish any priority their claims may have under section 312 of the Companies Act 1993, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution. Notice is hereby given in terms of section 245 (1) of the Companies Act 1993, that the liquidator considers that having regard to the assets of the society and the likely result of liquidation of the society and other relevant matters that no meeting of creditors should be held. There does not appear to be any creditors of the society. If there is a creditor and the creditor requires there to be a meeting of creditors then that creditor must give notice in writing to the liquidator requiring a meeting to be called within 10 working days after receiving this notice.
