Pursuant to Section 56 of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act 1996 The Minister of Justice hereby gives notice that he intends to make a recommendation that regulations be made pursuant to section 56 (1) (e) of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act 1996, to clarify the status of term deposits. The proposed regulation will deem a term deposit account not to be a facility. A draft of the proposed regulation is available for inspection.
