Appointment to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (2) of section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908, as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed the Honourable John Anthony Doogue of Wellington to be a member of the Rules Committee for a term of 1 year commencing on the 1st day of January 1998; and the Honourable Robert Lloyd Fisher of Auckland to be a member of the Rules Committee for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of January 1998.
