Initiation of Dumping Investigation: Clear Float Glass From China, Indonesia and Thailand Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 10 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, and acting by virtue of section 18 of that Act, I have initiated an investigation to determine both the existence and effect of the alleged dumping of the goods described and from the country of origin specified in the Schedule to this notice, being satisfied that sufficient evidence has been provided that: (a) The goods imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand are being dumped; and (b) By reason thereof material injury to an industry in a third country has been or is being caused, or is threatened, and also being satisfied that the collective output of that third country producer who has, in writing, expressed support for the application constitutes: (a) Twenty-five percent or more of the total third country production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (assessed during the most recent representative period, being not less than 6 months); and (b) More than 50 percent of the total production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (as so assessed) by that third country producers who has, in writing, expressed support for or opposition to the application. SCHEDULE Goods Subject to Investigation Countries of Origin China, Indonesia and Thailand. Description of Goods Clear float glass ranging in thickness from 2.8 mm to 12.3 mm (nominal thickness of 3 mm to 12 mm) inclusive. The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item 7005.29.00 and Statistical Keys 11D, 19K and 29G of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
