Notice of Intention to Seek Approval of the Minister of Energy to the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Requirements Applying to the Sale of Used Electrical Appliances for Reconditioning, Parts, Recycling or Historic Collections 1997 (NZECP 53:1997) Pursuant to section 38 (2) (a) of the Electricity Act 1992 (``the Act''), I, David James Green, acting under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce (pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988), hereby give notice that I intend to apply, after 1 month from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, to the Minister of Energy for approval of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Requirements Applying to the Sale of Used Electrical Appliances for Reconditioning, Parts, Recycling or Historic Collections 1997 (NZECP 53:1997) (``the code''). The code was issued by me on the 3rd day of November 1997, acting pursuant to section 36 of the Act. It is intended that the code be cited as a means of compliance with the Electricity Regulations 1997, for requirements applying to the sale of used electrical appliances for reconditioning, parts, recycling or historic collections. Comments are requested from any interested parties. Copies of the code may be obtained from the office of the Chief Electrical Engineer, Sixth Floor, Ministry of Commerce Building, 33 Bowen Street, Wellington or P.O. Box 1473, Wellington.
