The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1997 (No. F63) Pursuant to section 28zm (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983 and delegation made pursuant to sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Manager Policy, Ministry of Fisheries hereby makes the following notice: N o t i c e 1. Title and commencement (1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1997. (2) This notice shall come into effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. 2. Interpretation In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the Fishery described in SCA7 in Part III of the First Schedule to the Fisheries Act 1996. 3. Southern Scallop Season The period commencing on the 22nd day of August 1997 and ending with the close of the 18th day of December 1997 shall be the Southern Scallop season for the 1997 fishing year.
