Declaration of Species of Marine Mammal to be a Threatened Species Pursuant to section 2 (3) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, and after having regard to relevant international standards and relevant standards within New Zealand, I hereby declare the New Zealand (Hooker's) sea lion (Phocarctos hookeri) to be a threatened species for the purposes of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978.
