Import of Marine Mammal Material Notice is given pursuant to section 5 (1) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, that Mr D. J. McClean has applied for an import permit to bring into New Zealand, 1 pair of seal skin boots (ring seal) and a model sleigh (containing leopard seal skin). The aforementioned seal species are exempt CITES requirements. Persons wishing to lodge submissions on the application should send them to Regional Conservator, Conservation Department, Private Bag 4715, Christchurch, within 28 days of the publication of this notice.
