Appointment of Judge of the High Court Pursuant to section 4 of the Judicature Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint John Arthur Laurenson, one of Her Majesty's Counsel of New Plymouth to be a Judge of the High Court, commencing on the 1st day of July 1997.
