Permanent Warning Sign Pursuant to regulation 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations, and a subdelegation from the Director of Land Transport dated the 18th day of December 1996, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager Safer Roads and Rail, authorise the erection, installation and maintenance of a Permanent Warning Sign, as described in the Schedule to this notice, for the purposes of regulation 128 (4) of the Traffic Regulations 1976. Schedule 1. Description of Traffic Sign In this Schedule the ``RAIL TRACKS - CYCLISTS TAKE CARE'' permanent warning sign must be in accordance with the following: 1. Shape and Size: Be a diamond shape, not less than 600 mm square, and sufficient to comfortably accommodate the graphic. 2. Background Colour: Reflectorised yellow background. 3. Border: Black border 15 mm wide. 4. Graphic: The graphic, in black, consists of a cyclist falling off a bicycle onto a railway track, as shown below: ** TAKE IN ARTWORK ** 2. Use of Traffic Sign The ``RAIL TRACKS CYCLISTS TAKE CARE'' permanent warning sign should be used where cyclists are likely to cross railway or tram lines at an angle such as to cause them to lose control of their bicycle.
