The Traffic (Christchurch City, and Selwyn District at Templeton) Notice 1997 Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 (``the Act''), regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Christchurch City, and Selwyn District at Templeton) Notice 1997. (2) Those localities and roads on sheets 14 of Plan No. TT97/56/1 headed ``Gazetted Speed Restrictions for road in Christchurch City and roads at Templeton in Selwyn District'' and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that Plan, are declared to be: (a) closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Act at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Act; or (b) 70 kilometres an hour speed-limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or (c) excluded from the limitations as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Act, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Act, as indicated on that plan.
