Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in the Nelson Land District Pursuant to section 191 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Transport hereby: (a) authorises the application of the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for navigational aid and safety purposes, to secondary use of nature preservation purposes having the characteristics of a nature reserve; (b) specifies that the following sections of the Reserves Act 1977 shall apply to the said land subject to any limitations referred to herein sections 20 (except that subsection (2) (c) shall not apply to any access for or on behalf of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand), 40a, 40b, 42 ( * to the extent it is compatible with the primary purpose), 49, 50, 51 ( * to the extent it is compatible with the primary purpose), 57 (provided that subsection (2) shall not apply to access for or on behalf of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand), 93105, 118; (c) specifies that the secondary use land may be put to the same uses as the adjoining Takapourewa Nature Reserve provided those uses are compatible and not inconsistent with the primary purpose of the land.
