Declaration That Land is a Reserve Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Southland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Southland District Council on the 30th day of May 1996: That in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Southland District Council hereby resolves that Section 9, Block I, Town of Oban (all C.T. 5D/1149) held by the said council in fee simple is declared to be a local purpose (community centre) reserve within the meaning of the said Act.
