Notice of Initiation of a Duty Reassessment for Plasterboard From Thailand Pursuant to section 14 (6) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (``the Act''), and under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, I hereby give notice that I have initiated a reassessment of the amount of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of the goods described in the Schedule imported from Thailand. Anti-dumping duty was imposed on plasterboard of nominal dimensions of 9 mm or 9.5 mm thickness by 1200 mm width by 2400 mm to 3600 mm in length, in a notice dated 26 February 1996 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 7 March 1996, and a new anti-dumping duty was imposed on plasterboard having nominal dimensions of 9 mm or 9.5 mm thickness and lengths of either less than 2400 mm or greater than 3600 mm, in a notice dated 29 March 1996 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 4 April 1996. The purpose of the reassessment is to ensure that any changes in the elements between the non-injurious market price and the non-injurious f.o.b. price which may have occurred, are incorporated into the current anti-dumping remedy. Schedule Goods Subject to Investigation Country of Origin Thailand. Description of Goods Standard plasterboard of nominal dimensions of 9 mm or 9.5 mm thickness and of all lengths. The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 6809.11.00 10D of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive. Signed at Wellington this 4th day of June 1996. A. H. McPHAIL, Manager Trade Remedies Group.
