Appointment of Chairperson, Member and Reappointment of Member to the Broadcasting Commission On 18 April 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand appointed David Colin Beatson as chairperson of the Broadcasting Commission for a term of 3 years from 1 June 1996, pursuant to section 46 (1) of the Broadcasting Act 1989; Trish Stevenson as a member of the Broadcasting Commission for a term of 3 years from 1 June 1996, pursuant to section 46 (1) of the Broadcasting Act 1989; and reappointed Barbara Mary Stewart as a member of the Broadcasting Commission for a term of 3 years from 1 July 1996, pursuant to section 46 (1) of the Broadcasting Act 1989.
