Approval of Revolving Amber Lights for School Buses Pursuant to regulation 67 (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby approve the fitting of revolving amber beacons to the vehicles specified in Schedule 1 below, provided that all the conditions set out in Schedule 2 below are complied with. Schedule 1 Small and large passenger service vehicles that are used for the carriage of school children. Schedule 2 1 One flashing beacon may be fitted to the roof at the front as close as practicable to the right side of the vehicle. 2 One flashing beacon may be fitted to the rear as close as practicable to the right side of the vehicle. 3 The beacons are to function only when the vehicle is stationary and the door(s) are open. 4 The beacons must be disabled when the vehicle is being used for other than the transport of school children.
