Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on Parts of State Highway No. 6 in Athol in Southland at 80 km/h Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw: B y l a w 1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1996/12. 2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately. 3. In this bylaw ``motor vehicle'' has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962. 4. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres an hour on that section of State Highway No. 6 at Athol, from a point measured 30 metres east of its junction with Albion Street (at RP 1061/2.97) to a point measured 370 metres west of its junction with Clyde Street (at RP 1061/3.79), a distance of approximately 820 metres.
