Tower Corporation Amendment Bill Tower Corporation, a corporation under the Tower Corporation Act 1990, gives notice that it intends to apply for leave to introduce in the House of Representatives, a Private Bill under the short title of the ``Tower Corporation Amendment Act 1994''. The objects of the Bill are: 1. to establish and maintain a sub-register of members who are entitled to receive certain financial information relating to the Corporation; and 2. to amend the Tower Corporation Act to make necessary, consequential changes resulting from the enactment of the Companies Amendment Act 1993 and the Companies Act 1993. Currently all members of Tower Corporation are entitled to receive an abstract of the annual accounts of the Corporation, a report of the Actuary to the Corporation or a summary of the report and a statement of policyholders' funds. At the annual general meeting in 1992, members approved a special resolution for the legislation to be amended to allow the establishment of a sub-register of members who elect to continue to receive this financial information. The Bill sets out how the Corporation shall maintain the sub-register. The promoter of the Bill is Tower Corporation.
