Notice of Intention to Take Land at Back Road, Stewart Island for a Public Work Notice is hereby given that The Southland District Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the land described in the Schedule below for the purpose of building and operating a sewerage treatment plant on it as part of the Stewart Island Sewerage Scheme. The reasons why The Southland District Council considers it essential to take this land are as follows: (a) A sewerage scheme is required for the maintenance of the health and wellbeing of residents living in Oban township and adjoining areas on Stewart Island. (d) The land to be taken is isolated and ideally located between the community and the final disposal site. It has suitable topography for the purpose for which it is to be used and is geologically suitable for that purpose. Any person having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 working days after the date of the publication of this notice send an objection to The Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, P.O.
