Exemption from Interior Impact Requirements (Motorsport Association Alternative Standard) Pursuant to regulation 6 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, and in exercise of powers delegated to me, pursuant to section 41 (1) of the State Sector Act 1988, I, Andrew Justice, Manager Vehicle Compliance, hereby prescribe MANZ IIS01 as an alternative interior impact standard for the purposes of the said Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule below. This notice allows the application of an alternative interior impact standard on motor sport vehicles. The administration and conditions of this alternative standard are policed by the Motorsport Association of New Zealand (MANZ). This exemption may be withdrawn at any time. Specified Class The specified class of motor vehicle is: Any vehicle that is registered with and complies with the Motorsport Association of New Zealand Inc requirements. This applies to ``Motorsport Association vehicles in full compliance with Schedule A of the Motorsport Association of New Zealand manual''. Schedule of Conditions 1. MANZ issue an ``Authority Card'' with both LTSA and MANZ original logos. 2. The ``Authority Card'' must be carried in the vehicle at all times and produced when requested by: Police, LTSA or Warrant of Fitness Authorities. 3. The ``Authority Card'' shall identify the vehicle, vehicle owner and be of an acceptable format to the Land Transport Safety Authority. The ``Authority Card'' is not transferable. 4. The vehicle must be fitted with full harness seatbelts and comply with any current MANZ requirements. 5. In the event of the vehicle ceasing to comply with the above items, the vehicle must be restored to comply with the appropriate interior impact standard, listed in the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990.
