Pursuant to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 (“the Act”), the Purewa Cemetery Trust Board gives notice that on
17 September 2009, it adopted the Purewa Cemetery and Crematorium Bylaw 2009 (“bylaw”).
Pursuant to section 30(1) of the Act, Graeme Richard Gillespie, Group Manager, Population Health Directorate, acting under delegation from the Minister of Health, approved the bylaw on 29 September 2009.
Pursuant to section 30(2) of the Act, the bylaw will come into operation on 1 January 2010.
Copies of the bylaw are available for inspection at its offices at 4A Parsons Road, Meadowbank, Auckland.
