Notice of Amendments to Material Incorporated by Reference into the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Commercial Forestry) Regulations 2017
Pursuant to subclause 2(1) of Schedule 1AA of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment gives notice that there have been amendments to material currently incorporated by reference in the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Commercial Forestry) Regulations 2017 (“Regulations”).
1. Schedule 2, item 1 of the Regulations refers to “Erosion Susceptibility Classification”. This has been updated by a new version of the Erosion Susceptibility Classification which is dated May 2026.
2. The amendment to the material described in paragraph 1 above takes effect as part of the Regulations immediately.
3. Schedule 2, item 9 of the Regulations refers to “Fish Spawning Indicator”. This has been updated by a new version of the Fish Spawning Indicator which is dated May 2026.
4. The amendment to the material described in paragraph 3 above takes effect as part of the Regulations immediately.
5. Schedule 2, item 2 of the Regulations refers to “Guidelines for the use of the Decision Support System “Calculating Wilding Spread Risk From New Plantings”, (Scion, 2015) Scion publication number S0019, T.S.H. Paul”. This has been updated to “Guidelines for the use of the Decision Support System “Calculating Wilding Spread Risk From New Plantings”, (Scion, 2025) PAD output number 97330957, Matthew B. Scott & Thomas S. H. Paul”.
6. The amendment to the material described in paragraph 5 above takes effect as part of the Regulations on 25 June 2026.
7. Copies of the incorporated material (including previous versions) may be inspected free of charge on weekdays between 9.00am and 5.00pm at the Ministry for the Environment, 8 Willis Street, Wellington.
