Under section 52W of the Commerce Act 1986, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that it has amended the Transpower Capital Expenditure Input Methodology Determination [2012] NZCC 2 (“Capex IM”).

The amendment is set out in the Transpower Capital Expenditure Input Methodology (Major Capex Incentive Formula) Amendment Determination 2026 [2026] NZCC 9 (“Amendment Determination”). The Amendment Determination is secondary legislation and comes into force on 28 April 2026. The Amendment Determination amends the major capex incentive rate formula to give effect to the incentive deadband introduced in the Part 4 Input Methodologies Review 2023.
