Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Amendment Notice 2026
Pursuant to sections 142 and 143 of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006, the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board issues the following notice to amend the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Notice 2023 published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2023, Notice No. 2023-gs5850.
1. This notice is the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Amendment Notice 2026.
2. This notice comes into force on 27 April 2026.
3. This notice revokes the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Amendment Notice 2025 (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 July 2025, Notice No. 2025-gs3849).
4. This notice amends the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Notice 2023.
5. This notice replaces the Tradesman and Journeyman registration class names in the Principal notice.
6. The term “Tradesman” in the Principal notice is replaced by “Plumber, Gasfitter, or Drainlayer”.
7. The term “Journeyman” in the Principal notice is replaced by “Restricted”.

With effect from 1 April 2025, the name of the Tradesman registration class was changed to Plumber, Gasfitter, or Drainlayer and the name of the Journeyman registration class was changed to Restricted. This notice amends the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Notice 2023 to recognise those registration class name changes.
This notice revokes and replaces the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Amendment Notice 2025 (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 July 2025, Notice No. 2025-gs3849) amending the Principal notice which did not comply with section 145(1AAA) of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006.
This notice is administered by the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board.
