Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Rebecca Louise Johnson, give notice of a local transition period over Masterton and Carterton District Council owing to the 20 April 2026 Severe Weather Event.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 5.00pm on Friday 24 April 2026, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 1.30pm on Monday 20 April 2026 for Masterton, and Carterton District Council is terminated;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 4.59pm on 22 May 2026, unless extended or terminated earlier.
