Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Frances Helen Wilde, give notice of a local transition period over South Wairarapa District Council owing to the 20 April 2026 Severe Weather Event.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 5.00pm on Friday, 24 April 2026, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 1.30pm on Monday, 20 April 2026 for South Wairarapa District Council is terminated;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 4.59pm on 22 May 2026, unless extended or terminated earlier.
