Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, subsequent to the impacts of Tropical Depression 5F in January 2026, I, Rehette Stoltz, further extend the local transition period given at 5.00pm on 11 February 2026, which I previously extended at 8.45am on 5 May 2026, and which came into force at 5.00pm on 6 May 2026, over the Tairāwhiti Region owing to the cumulative impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle, the June 2023 Severe weather event and Tropical Depression 5F.

This extension of the local transition period:

1. comes into force immediately before 5.00pm on 3 June 2026, which is the time and date when this current local transition period expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 5.00pm on 1 July 2026 unless extended or terminated earlier.

This is the 4th extension of the local transition period to which this notice pertains.
