Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Andrew Garwyn Tripe, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 6.57am on 19 April 2026 for the Whanganui District, owing to the Whanganui River Flood 2026 – threat to life and property.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
