Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, James Edward Denyer, give notice of a local transition period over Western Bay of Plenty District owing to the Tropical Cyclone 05F and Cyclone Vaianu weather events. This transition period:

1. comes into force at 12.08pm on 13 April 2026, which is the time and date when:
1. this notice is given; and
2. the state of emergency declared at 12.05pm on 11 April 2026 for Western Bay of Plenty District is terminated;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 12.08pm on Monday, 11 May 2026, unless extended or terminated earlier.
