Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, subsequent to the impacts of Tropical Depression 5F in January 2026, I, Rehette Stoltz gave notice of a local transition period owing to the cumulative impacts of each of Cyclone Gabrielle, the June 2023 Severe Weather Event and Tropical Depression 5F, which came into force at 5.00pm on 11 February 2026.

The effect of that notice is that the recovery for each of Cyclone Gabrielle, the June 2023 Severe Weather Event and Tropical Depression 5F are managed under the same notice of local transition period.

I now extend the local transition period, which constitutes the first extension.

This extension of the local transition period:

1. comes into force immediately before 5.00pm on 11 March 2026, which is the time and date when this current local transition period expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 5.00pm on 8 April 2026 unless extended or terminated earlier.

This is the first extension of the local transition period to which this notice pertains.
