Under Schedule 5B of the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act 2001, the allocation of export licences for designated markets is conducted on an annual basis and allocated based on export volumes for the three most recent dairy seasons.

The allocation round for the 2027 quota year opens on 6 July 2026. If you want to participate in the allocation round you need to submit your application with the required statutory declaration(s) to the Director-General of MPI by 5.00pm on Friday 7 August 2026.
