The Minister of Finance gives notice under section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004 (“Act”) that the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Transport have approved, under section 160(1)(b) of the Act, an extension to City Rail Link Limited’s (CRLL) existing Foreign Currency Accounts and Derivatives Protocol (“Protocol”). The Protocol was due to expire on 30 June 2026 and has been extended to 30 June 2028. There are no other changes to the Protocol.

This approval enables CRLL to continue to hold foreign currency and enter into derivatives for the purpose of managing foreign exchange risk associated with the delivery of the City Rail Link project, in accordance with the terms of the Protocol.

The extension to the Protocol took effect from 11 June 2026.
