Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Anita Baker, (Wellington joint committee chairperson) terminate the state of local emergency declared at 1.30pm on Monday, 20 April 2026 for the following districts within the Wellington Region Civil Defence Emergency Management Group area, owing to severe weather impacts across the region:

• Wellington Region Civil Defence Emergency Management Group area.

The termination of the state of local emergency for these districts takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
