Under section 212M of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby notify that the Charter School Agency, acting in the name and on behalf of the Crown, and Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira Incorporated have entered into a contract for the establishment of Kura Toa as a charter school.

The sponsor of the charter school is Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira Incorporated, and the school Kura Toa will be located at 3 Wi Neera Drive, Porirua City.

The school will be a co-educational, composite school offering year levels 7–13.

Education will be delivered on site and by distance.

The school will have the distinguishing characteristic of “Iwi-led school grounded in the mātauranga, histories and aspirations of Ngāti Toa Rangatira”.
