If a pressurised aircraft is operated above 30,000 feet AMSL, it must be equipped with oxygen masks and oxygen supply stated in 91.535(a) and (c) and comply with the additional requirements: 1) oxygen outlets and masks must be at least 10% greater than the number of passenger seats; 2) extra oxygen units must be uniformly distributed throughout the aircraft; 3) oxygen masks must be automatically presented to passengers and flight attendants if the cabin pressure altitude exceeds 14,000 feet AMSL; and 4) the flight crew must have a manual method to deploy passenger masks if the automatic deployment system fails. |
