In accordance with section 220 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, I, Kate Morrison, give notice that I have exempted New Zealand Pharmaceuticals Limited from compliance with:

1. for the Biochem Plant: regulations 11.36(2)(c) (in so far as it applies to the prescribed fire resistance ratings of walls, ceiling and doors, and compliance of windows with NZS 4232.2:1988; and compliance with secondary containment), 11.37(2)(b)(i), 11.37(2)(c), 11.37(3), and 11.37(4); and
2. for the Pure Area: regulation 11.36(2)(c) (in so far as it applies to the fire resistance rating of the personnel door identified as door set D01/644518 [2024])

of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 (“HS Regulations”) in relation to their manufacturing site at 68 Weld Street, Palmerston North.

This exemption takes effect on 6 July 2026 and expires on 6 July 2031 unless it is replaced sooner or revoked.
