Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

1. Title

This notice is the Corrections (Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility) Notice 2025.

2. Commencement

This notice takes effect from 16 December 2025.

3. Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility

The land and the parts of the buildings described in the Schedule are declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility.

4. Revocation

The Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility Notice 2025 dated 6 May 2025, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 May 2025, Notice No. 2025-go2451, is revoked.

Schedule

Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility

All the parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 24.3337 hectares, more or less, being Area A on LT plan 442050 and being Part Lot 1, DP 391946 which is part of the land comprised and described in Record of Title 575590, North Auckland Land Registry:

• all the land and buildings in the South Auckland Land Registration District on Nikau Road/Waikeria Road called “Rangiora” (previously known as Nikau Unit) located towards the southern end of the parcel of land, being part Section 3 SO 455234 and contained within Record of Title 647680; and
• all the land and the buildings on the Miro Road /Rimu Street known as “Ngaio” (previously known as Miro Unit) located towards the southern end of the land being part Section 3 SO 455234 and contained within Record of Title 647680.
