Notice of the Decision of the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control re. the Assigning of Place Names Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on the 26 March 1998 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to change the name of Sugar Loaf Islands to Ng Motu/Sugar Loaf Islands; to correct the spelling of the name Johnson Peak to Johnston Peak; and to assign a new name, Muscle Cove. Objections were received to these proposed names and were dealt with pursuant to section 13 of the said Act. I hereby declare that it is my decision that the names of these places shall be Ng Motu/Sugar Loaf Islands, Johnston Peak and Muscle Cove, as referred to in the Schedule below, and that this decision shall take effect on the 8th day of June 1999.
