Appointment of Court to Exercise Criminal Jurisdiction in Respect of Indictable Offences Pursuant to the District Courts Act 1947 Pursuant to section 4 (2a) of the District Courts Act 1947, as inserted by section 2 (2) of the District Courts Amendment Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Papakura as a place in which courts may be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction in respect of indictable offences under Part IIa of the District Courts Act 1947.
