Carcass Description Systems Pursuant to section 42 of the Meat Board Act 1997, notice is hereby given that the mandatory carcass description systems for cattle and sheep currently in use under the Meat Board Act will be revoked on 30 September 1999. As at 1 October 1999, licensees of licensed export slaughterhouses will no longer be compelled to comply with the carcass description systems currently in use under the Meat Board Act, but may use the systems in their current form, on a voluntary basis.
